UFC 306 Pay-Per-View event, Taking place at the T-Mobile Arena The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 14, 2024. With early prelims starting at 7:30 PM EST, prelims at 8 PM EST, and the main card at 10 PM EST.

Early Prelims – 7:30 PM EST

Bantamweight – Aori Qileng vs. Raul Rosas

Aori Qileng will fight in early prelimswith Raul Rosas. Raul Rosas, is a young fighter with incredible grappling credentials. Expect him to take Aori down using his excellent single-leg takedown technique. Rosas submission game is highly advanced, with rear-naked chokes and triangle chokes.

Women’s Bantamweight – Irene Aldana vs. Norma Dumont

In the first of the prelim contest we have between Irene Aldana and Norma Dumont. Both women are skilled strikers.

Irene Aldana is known for her crisp boxing. She has an excellent understanding of range and footwork. Aldana’s most dangerous weapon is her straight right hand. She also employs powerful body kicks to keep her opponents guessing.

Norma Dumont, on the other hand, is more of a Muay Thai specialist. She uses knees to the body and sharp elbows when in close quarters. Dumont also evolved heavy low kicks, which can slow down Aldana’s movement.

Lightweight – Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Manuel Torres

This lightweight contesters both Ignacio Bahamondes and Manuel Torres are aggressive fighters.

Ignacio Bahamondes is known for his spinning techniques, Bahamondes uses the spinning heel kick. His strategy helps him control distance.

Manuel Torres who loves to push the pace. He uses his fast hands. Torres has knockout power in both his hands. While primarily a striker, Torres also has a solid ground game.

Women’s Strawweight – Yazmin Jauregui vs. Ketlen Souza

In the women’s strawweight division, Yazmin Jauregui and Ketlen Souzawill face eachother.

Yazmin Jauregui is a well-rounded fighter with fast footwork to dart in and out of range. She also throws fluid combinations, often finishing with a high kick or a punch to the body.

Ketlen Souza is a durable fighter. Souza’s Muay Thai punishing with knees and elbows. While Souza is comfortable in striking battles.

Flyweight – Édgar Cháirez vs. Joshua Van

Édgar Cháirez uses a mix of low kicks to frustrate his opponents. His ability to utilize powerful double-leg takedowns to control the fight on the ground.

Joshua Van is a good fighter with excellent jiu-jitsu. He prefers to use a variety of takedowns, including single-leg and body lock.

Bantamweight – Sean O’Malley (c) vs. Merab Dvalishvili

The main event of the night sees Sean O’Malley defend his bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili. O’Malley will look to keep the fight at range using his long jab and dangerous head kicks.

Merab Dvalishvili, on the other hand, is a cardio machine. His chain wrestling is exceptional. Once on the ground, Dvalishvili overwhelms opponents with ground-and-pound and will look to grind O’Malley down with his superior grappling skills.

Women’s Flyweight – Alexa Grasso (c) vs. Valentina Shevchenko

In the co-main event, Alexa Grasso defends her women’s flyweight title against Valentina Shevchenko.

Alexa Grasso has improved her game, making her a champion. Grasso using her jab-cross combination to set up power shots like the right hook and overhand right. Grasso uses knees to wear down her opponents.

Valentina Shevchenko, however, is one of the most complete fighters in UFC history. She will look to pick Grasso apart with precision. However, Shevchenko is also using trips from the clinch to take opponents down.

Featherweight – Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes

This featherweight bout pits Brian Ortega against the explosive Diego Lopes.

Brian Ortega often using guillotines, triangle chokes, and rear-naked chokes. His striking has also improved significantly.

Diego Lopes, however, is a dangerous striker. Lopes prefers to damage his opponents. Lopes is also adept at counter-punching, making him dangerous in exchanges.
