AEW Collision’s August 24, 2024 episode promises to be action-packed with unforgettable moments.

The match began with Mark Briscoe delivering a Spear, sending Mike Bennett crashing to the mat. Roderick Strong retaliated with a brutal Suplex on Briscoe, followed by a Takedown showcasing his technical prowess. Kyle O’Reilly locked in a Guillotine Choke on Strong, but Matt Taven broke it up just in time with a Piledriver that nearly incapacitated O’Reilly.

Orange Cassidy brought his laid-back style but surprised everyone with an Attitude Adjustment on Taven. Taven countered later with a devastating Pedigree on Cassidy, leading to a close Near Fall that had the audience gasping. Bennett tried to shift momentum with a thunderous Chokeslam on O’Reilly, but Briscoe broke up the pin.

In a chaotic moment, Taven went for a Tombstone Piledriver on Briscoe, but Briscoe escaped and countered with a quick Eye Gouge. O’Reilly seized the moment, taking down Taven with a swift Takedown before locking in the Guillotine Choke again. This time, Taven had no escape and tapped out, securing the victory for O’Reilly, Cassidy, and Briscoe.

In a singles match, Willow Nightingale faced Harley Cameron in an action-packed contest that kept the crowd engaged. Harley Cameron started strong with a Single Leg Takedown and quickly transitioned into an Ankle Pick to target Willow’s leg. However, Willow countered with a swift Arm Drag, gaining control of the bout.

Harley tried to maintain momentum with a Figure Four Leglock, but Willow fought out and delivered a powerful Double Leg Takedown. As Harley tried to regain her footing, she caught Willow with a surprise Stone Cold Stunner, stunning the crowd and nearly securing a pinfall. But Willow “hulked up,” shaking off the effects of the Stunner. She responded with a devastating Chokeslam, leaving Harley reeling.

Willow followed up with a crowd-pleasing People’s Elbow before hitting Harley with a massive Forearm. Willow lifted Harley and executed a brutal Tombstone Piledriver but didn’t stop there. She hoisted Harley up again and delivered a thunderous Powerbomb to secure the victory.

In another singles match, Jay Lethal started strong, catching Shibata off guard with a quick Half Nelson. Shibata, known for his precision, countered with a swift Boston Crab to pressure Lethal’s lower back. Lethal escaped using the ropes and followed up with a Figure Four Leglock to slow Shibata down. Shibata fought out of the hold and evaded a high-risk Phoenix Splash from Lethal.

Shibata then delivered a perfectly timed RKO, stunning Lethal and nearly securing a pinfall. Lethal countered with a Canadian Destroyer, bringing the crowd to their feet. Despite the impact, Shibata quickly recovered. As Lethal attempted to follow up with The People’s Elbow, Shibata caught him mid-move and locked in a devastating Arm Bar.

The Arm Bar put immense pressure on Lethal, but he managed to roll out and create distance. Shibata was relentless, quickly transitioning into another Half Nelson before shifting back to the Arm Bar. This time, the hold was too much for Lethal, and he had no choice but to tap out.

In a tag team match, Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway faced Kid Lykos II and Nina Samuels. Statlander dominated with her strength and technical skills. She started with an Ankle Pick on Kid Lykos II, followed by a Head and Arm Throw and a Fireman’s Carry. She continued with a Hip Toss and countered Lykos’s Snap Down with a Greco-Roman Throw.

Statlander then delivered a powerful Powerbomb after Lykos attempted a DDT. Hathaway applied a Camel Clutch on Lykos while Statlander kept Samuels at bay with a Hip Toss and a Reversal. Despite a Near Fall, Lykos couldn’t escape their relentless attacks. Statlander finished with a DDT and another Powerbomb, allowing Hathaway to secure the pinfall victory. Their teamwork and dominance were evident throughout, leaving their opponents little room to fight back.
