The Rampage event of AEW on December 20, 2024, is something to wait for in Washington, D.C., since it has an exciting match line up. The night was all action with great tag team and singles matches. The fans were exposed to high-impact moves and incredible athleticism as AEW brought out some of the greats’ best in professional wrestling.
The Don Callis Family vs. Mark Davis & Powerhouse Hobbs: Tag Team Warfare
The early evening was marked by the sound of a power-packed tag team match, featuring The Don Callis Family (Brian Cage & Konosuke Takeshita) against greats like Mark Davis and Powerhouse Hobbs. This duel was going to be that of the strongest and most agile warriors.
Cage and Takeshita immediately showcased their coordination, with Cage lifting Davis for a devastating suplex while Takeshita delivered a brutal dropkick. Mark Davis used his raw power, countering with a devastating spinebuster on Takeshita that rattled the arena. Powerhouse Hobbs brought his imposing frame into the mix, tossing Brian Cage across the ring with a thunderous belly-to-belly suplex.
As the match progressed, the intensity only increased. Cage hit his signature F5 on Davis, but Takeshita was quickly cut off by Hobbs, who rocked him with a clothesline. The crowd was on their feet as Hobbs and Davis executed a double-team powerbomb on Cage. However, Takeshita retaliated with a top-rope moonsault, followed by a near-fall. In the end, Cage and Takeshita managed to get the victory with their synchronized finishing move – a double-team piledriver.
Action Andretti & Lio Rush vs. Goldy & Myles Hawkins: A High-Flying Affair
Next up was a high-flying tag team contest between Action Andretti & Lio Rush and Goldy & Myles Hawkins. Right from the outset of the match, Andretti and Rush set the arena on fire with an incredibly fast and furious offensive display. Lio Rush was unbelievable in his speed as he springboarded off the ropes to crush Goldy with a crossbody, immediately followed by a spinning heel kick on Myles Hawkins.
Goldy and Hawkins had their moments, using their power to ground their opponents. Hawkins slammed Andretti with a brutal powerbomb, while Goldy executed a fierce spinebuster on Rush. But Andretti and Rush showcased their synergy with crisp tag team moves, including a top-rope hurricanrana from Andretti followed by a devastating frog splash from Rush.
The match reached its climax when Rush hit the final Hourglass on Goldy, and Andretti followed up with a diving splash, securing the victory. The crowd roared as Andretti and Rush stood tall, proving their tag team chemistry and athleticism.
Willow Nightingale vs. Harley Cameron: A Powerhouse Showdown
The women’s division brought the heat with Willow Nightingale facing off against Harley Cameron in a hard-hitting singles match. Nightingale, known for her power and strength, immediately took control, delivering a massive Samoan drop on Cameron. She continued her dominance with a series of corner splashes, leaving Cameron gasping for air.
However, Harley Cameron wasn’t going down without a fight. She countered a powerbomb attempt with an innovative tornado DDT, stunning Nightingale. Cameron followed up with a picture-perfect springboard moonsault, but Nightingale kicked out just in time. The match turned brutal as Nightingale locked in her signature submission, the Nightingale Sleeper, but Cameron managed to fight her way to the ropes.
Although, In the closing moments, Nightingale caught Cameron mid-air during a diving attack, delivering a devastating spinebuster for the victory. The crowd cheered as Nightingale celebrated her hard-earned win.
Continental Classic 2024 Gold League Match: Brody King vs. Komander
In addition, The Continental Classic 2024 Gold League match saw Brody King take on Komander in a contest that combined raw power with high-flying agility. Brody King started the match with a powerful clothesline, sending Komander crashing to the mat. King’s domination and command continued, with a sequence of hard chops filled by a massive body slam shaking the ring with every move. But the aerial specialist Komander effectively counterattacked the tide with an awesome series of flips and kicks. He gave King an unbelievable springboard cutter, with the powerhouse facing a number of mental strains. The match incremented as Komander took flight into the air, hitting King with a perfect corkscrew dive. King did get his shot in, counterattacking with a powerbomb that could have counted to three.
As the match reached its zenith, Komander flew off the top of the rope, but King caught him in midair and slammed him to the mat in a huge powerbomb maneuver. King then finished off Komander with his famous spinning clothesline, winning the match and letting him continue his quest in the Continental

While, that action continued, the AEW Rampage audience would also love to enjoy an AEW World champion promo segment featuring MJF. But, The self-styled “Devil” of AEW wasted no time in attacking the enemy by calling out anybody daring to challenge the throne. The harsh words had him fitted with his self-bravery as hyping the crowd before another episode of a show the champion would again relish.
Although, Promising an iron fist to reign with, this is how MJF set the continuing password for that night, creating a backstage atmosphere most awaited by fans to see where the night would go with MJF. Unmistakably, the scene was already set for the champion by his sharp words and brash demeanor, sending the crowd into frenzy bated breath for what would be yet another terrific matchup for him.
AEW Rampage always leaves one satisfied with action.
Rampage was a two-hour explosion from AEW on December 20, 2024. It had a lot of surprises, power maneuvers, high-flying drama, and terrible rivalries. BUT, From the battle between tag teams to the singles slaughter, Rampage presented sheer wrestling at its best. Amazing performances by Brian Cage, Konosuke Takeshita, Lio Rush, and Willow Nightingale tell AEW that it is still on the mark. Expectation is now build up for what next AEW has got in store for the fans as the pipeline continues for future rivalries and championships.
