Criticism

Initially, UFC faced criticism due to the lack of rules and regulations. It leads to excessive brutality in the matches. It was even banned in several states and labeled as “Human Cockfighting.” However, in 2001, Frank and Lorenzo purchased UFC through their company  ZUFFA LLC. They then implemented rules and regulations, including weight categories and restrictions on dangerous techniques like hitting behind the head.

Over the years, it has achieved many milestones and become a g lobal brand. In 2016, Uktimate Fighting Championship ownership was sold for a record $4 billion, increasing its market value and popularity. Many talented fighters have emerged from this show, including iconic figures like Royce Gracie, Chuck Liddell, Georges St-Pierre, and Ronda Rousey.

Muslim fighters have also made their mark in UFC, with undefeated champions like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, and Khamzat Chimaev. Conor McGregor is another standout UFC fighter known for his brutal style and techniques, though he recently faced a leg injury in his last fight.

UFC, which originated in North America, has now expanded globally, with events held in various countries like the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. The sport has gained a massive following worldwide, attracting fans from Asia to Europe. UFC has established itself as a dominant force in the world of combat sports.
