NJPW Shingo Takagi’s 20th Debut Anniversary event on September 7, 2024, is a major highlight for NJPW fans, celebrating the career of one of Japan’s most dynamic wrestlers. The event, taking place in Kofu, Yamanashi, is expected to draw considerable attention, especially with the appearance of the 2024 G1 Climax Champion, Zack Sabre Jr.

The card features an exciting mix of singles and tag team matches. Other matches on the card include Six Man Tag Team Match and Eight-Man Tag Team Match. This NJPW Shingo Takagis 20th Debut Anniversary Event 9/7/24  is very important.

Singles Match: The detail of single match is given below.

Daiki Nagai vs. Masatora Yasuda:

Daiki Nagai and Masatora Yasuda both are professional wrestler. They are going to face each other. Daiki Nagai locked in a Wrist Lock, applying pressure on Yasuda’s arm, then transitioned smoothly into a Fujiwara Armbar, straining Yasuda’s shoulder and elbow.

Yasuda with his brute strength, powering out of the submission. He retaliated with a series of thunderous Forearm Smashes that rocked Nagai. Seizing control, Yasuda delivered a vicious Neckbreaker, targeting Nagai’s neck and setting the stage for further attacks.

Nagai, not one to back down, shifted his focus to Yasuda’s legs. He executed a perfectly timed Leg Sweep, bringing Yasuda to the mat, and followed up with a Knee Bar, attempting to weaken Yasuda’s lower body. Yasuda struggled but managed to reach the ropes, forcing Nagai to break the hold.

Tag Team Match

Six tag team matched are played. The detail of each match is given below. The wrestlers showed their skills in the ring.

Shoma Kato & Riiita  vs. Callum Newman & Francesco Akira

Riiita started the match against Callum Newman, locking in a Hammerlock to target Newman’s arm early on. Riiita then transitioned into a series of rapid Arm Drags, keeping Newman off balance and working on his shoulder.

Newman countered with his athleticism, flipping out of Riiita’s grasp and landing a crisp Dropkick, sending Riiita crashing to the mat. Seizing the opportunity, Newman tagged in Francesco Akira, who immediately focused on Riiita’s neck with a precise Neckbreaker. Akira, a master of aerial assaults, followed up with a Flying Crossbody, using his legs to drive Riiita down again.

Riiita tagged in Shoma Kato. Kato entered with a burst of power, delivering a Spinebuster to Akira, followed by a series of sharp Knife-Edge Chops to his chest. Kato then locked in a Dragon Sleeper, targeting Akira’s neck and restricting his movement.

Akira managed to escape and tagged Newman back in. The United Empire duo then displayed their chemistry with a Double Superkick, targeting Kato’s head. Newman followed up with a Springboard Moonsault, but Kato countered by catching him mid-air and slamming him down with a Powerslam.

In the final moments, Kato attempted a Lariat, but Newman ducked and hit a Superkick. Akira then tagged in, and the United Empire team executed their finisher—a combination of a Leg Lariat from Newman and a top-rope Double Stomp from Akira.

Katsuya Murashima & Ryusuke Taguchi vs.  HENARE  &  Jeff Cobb

Murashima quickly targeting his opponent’s arm with a Wrist Lock. He followed up with a series of sharp Elbow Strikes, aiming to weaken HENARE’s defenses early on.

HENARE then tagged in the powerhouse, Jeff Cobb, who wasted no time asserting his dominance. Cobb hoisted Murashima into the air, executing a devastating Belly-to-Belly Suplex, sending Murashima crashing into the canvas.

Ryusuke Taguchi entered the fray, immediately using his agility to evade Cobb’s grasp. Taguchi delivered a series of low Dropkicks to Cobb’s legs, trying to chop down the larger man. He followed up with a Running Bulldog, driving Cobb’s head into the mat, and then applied an Ankle Lock, targeting Cobb’s legs to reduce his mobility.

HENARE and Cobb then worked together, with HENARE delivering a Stiff Forearm Smash to Taguchi, while Cobb followed up with a monstrous Running Powerslam. Murashima re-entered the ring, attempting to save his partner with a high-impact Enzuigiri to HENARE, but Cobb quickly neutralized him with a Pop-Up Powerbomb.

Jado & Shota Umino vs. Ren Narita & SHO

Umino applying a Headlock to Narita, squeezing his opponent’s neck tightly. He transitioned into a swift Arm Drag, sending Narita to the mat and following up with a sharp Dropkick to the chest.

Narita, however, quickly retaliated by targeting Umino’s legs with a vicious series of Low Kicks, each strike echoing through the arena. Narita then captured Umino’s arm, twisting it into a Fujiwara Armbar, applying pressure to the shoulder and elbow. Umino struggled but managed to reach the ropes, forcing a break.

SHO entered the match, immediately overpowering Jado with a series of brutal Knee Strikes to the midsection. SHO then locked in a Crossface, wrenching Jado’s neck backward with ferocity. Jado, a seasoned veteran, fought back, breaking free and delivering a Bionic Elbow to SHO’s forehead. He followed up with a Running Lariat, nearly taking SHO’s head off.

Umino targeting SHO with a series of quick strikes, including a Spinning Backfist to the jaw and a Neckbreaker that sent SHO crashing to the mat. However, Narita, not to be outdone, hit Umino with a Snap Suplex, followed by a high-impact Bridging German Suplex, holding on for the pin.

With Jado neutralized outside the ring by a well-timed Dropkick from SHO, Narita and SHO capitalized on the chaos. SHO lifted Umino into the air, and Narita connected with a Thunderous Roundhouse Kick to the head, leading to SHO executing his signature Shock Arrow Piledriver, driving Umino’s head into the canvas.

Tomoaki Honma & Tomohiro Ishii vs. Mad Bastards

Kidd seizing control by targeting Honma’s wrist. Kidd wrenched Honma’s arm with a Wrist Lock, followed by a swift Knee Strike to the midsection that doubled Honma over. He transitioned into a Snapmare, and locking in a Rear Chin Lock, putting pressure on Honma’s neck. Honma caught Kidd off guard with a quick DDT, spiking him headfirst into the canvas. Honma, sensing an opening, attempted his signature Kokeshi Headbutt, but Kidd rolled out of the way.

Tomohiro Ishii and Jake Lee then tagged in, and the intensity skyrocketed. Ishii immediately charged at Lee, landing a devastating Shoulder Block that barely budged the larger Lee. In response, Lee fired back with a series of thunderous Leg Kicks, targeting Ishii’s thighs and trying to wear him down. He then followed up with a Big Boot that staggered Ishii.

Ishii, unfazed, roared back with a stiff Lariat, nearly taking Lee off his feet. He then hoisted Lee up for a Vertical Suplex, holding him in the air before slamming him down with authority. As the match neared its climax, Kidd re-entered , but Ishii was ready, catching him with a Spinebuster that shook the ring. Honma, recovered from earlier, joined Ishii for a Double Lariat, taking down both members of Mad Bastards.

BULLET CLUB vs. Just 5 Guys

The bout opened with Gedo and DOUKI locking up in the center of the ring. Gedo took control by wrenching DOUKI’s arm, DOUKI countered with a quick Arm Drag, followed up with a Leg Sweep, grounding him.

Gedo, ever the veteran, responded with a Eye Rake, temporarily blinding DOUKI and allowing him to tag in Taiji Ishimori. Ishimori exploded into the ring, immediately targeting DOUKI’s legs with a series of rapid Low Kicks, trying to weaken his base. Ishimori then transitioned into a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, further damaging DOUKI’s leg and setting him up for more punishment.

TAKA Michinoku followed this up with a precise Wrist Lock, twisting Ishimori’s arm before delivering a devastating Enzuigiri, which sent Ishimori stumbling back. Ishimori, tagged in Gedo, who immediately targeted TAKA’s neck with a Snap DDT, planting him hard on the mat. Gedo then locked in a Crossface, pulling back on TAKA’s neck and arm, trying to force a submission.

DOUKI broke the hold with a well-timed Dropkick, sending Gedo sprawling. DOUKI and TAKA then combined forces, executing a Double Suplex on Gedo, showcasing their teamwork. But as DOUKI went for the pin, Ishimori intervened, breaking it up with a sharp Knee Strike to DOUKI’s back.

United Empire vs. TMDK 

Great-O-Khan entered the ring to break up the submission with a brutal Big Boot to Sabre’s chest. With Sabre down, O-Khan grabbed his arm, pulling him into a Wrist Clutch Suplex, demonstrating his raw power. Sabre Jr., however, fought back with his technical prowess, catching O-Khan in a Triangle Choke, targeting his neck and arm simultaneously.

O-Khan, using a Spinning Backbreaker, dropping him hard across his knee. He then tagged in Young, who attempted to finish Sabre with a Running Lariat. Sabre ducked under and transitioned into a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, taking Young off his feet. With the momentum shifting, Fujita re-entered, delivering a Flying Crossbody to Young, but O-Khan intervened.

Six Man Tag Team Match

BUSHI and Takahashi engaging in a rapid exchange of arm drags and wrist locks, both trying to gain the upper hand. BUSHI executed a swift Arm Drag, transitioning into a Wrist Lock that had Takahashi wincing in pain. Takahashi countered with a quick Enzuigiri, targeting BUSHI’s head and forcing him to tag in Shingo Takagi.

Takagi locked up with Yota Tsuji. Takagi overpowered Tsuji with a series of Shoulder Blocks and followed up with a thunderous Lariat that nearly took Tsuji’s head off. Tsuji, not to be outdone, responded with a powerful Spine buster, shaking the ring. He then targeted Takagi’s legs with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, attempting to weaken the champion’s base.

As the match continued, YAMATO and Naito faced off, with Naito using his agility to deliver a Hurricanrana that sent YAMATO across the ring. Naito followed with a Neckbreaker, focusing on YAMATO’s neck. YAMATO fought back, catching Naito with a Spinning Heel Kick, then locking in a tight Wrist Lock.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match

In the eight-man tag team match, the Be-Bop Tag Team (Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano) teamed up with Oleg Boltin and Tiger Mask to take on House of Torture (Dick Togo, EVIL, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi). The action started with Hiroshi Tanahashi locking up with Dick Togo.

Hiroshi immediately took control with an Arm Drag, transitioning into a Wrist Lock that had Togo grimacing in pain. Togo managed to break free with a stiff Back Elbow, but Tanahashi responded with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip, sending Togo crashing to the mat.

Toru Yano then tagged in, using his crafty tactics to frustrate Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Yano caught Kanemaru in a Wrist Lock before delivering a quick Knee Lift to the midsection. Kanemaru, however, retaliated with a Dropkick to Yano’s legs, taking him down. Kanemaru followed up with a sharp DDT, targeting Yano’s neck.

Tanahashi caught Togo in the middle of a Spine buster attempt, countering with a Sling Blade. Tanahashi then ascended the ropes, delivering his signature High Fly Flow (Frog Splash) onto Togo. He  securing the pinfall for the Be-Bop Tag Team, Boltin, and Tiger Mask in a hard-fought battle.
